Enameled Silver Earrings

NATIVE AMERICAN
Southwest US

These enameled silver earrings seem to be Native American in aesthetics, although there are Caucasian artists, such as the Aldrich family, who pay homage to this style of artwork. The four colored arrows on the outer edge of the earring, red, yellow, black and white, represent the four Hopi cardinal directions of South, East, West and North. They also correspond to the four elements, of water, fire, earth and air. The backs are engraved with the initials DC.
