Indian Silver Cuff by Dharmendra Soni of Jaisamer, India; fabricated, with fine granulation, which almost looks like pattern wire; purchased at a Fowler Museum trunk show by Patrick Benesh-Liu for his mother. Dharmendra was one of four Indian goldsmiths, called soni, who were invited to participate in the exhibition “Enduring Splendor: Jewelry of India's Thar Desert,” which featured the collection of Ronald and Maxine Linde. He also exhibited at the International Folk Art Market in Santa Fe, where we met him during one of our annual trips.
