This silver hinged bracelet was fabricated of woven wire, and is an example of exceptional Indian elaborate silversmithing; it may have been purchased by Carolyn when she was on an around the world trip, starting in India, where she was attending a cooking class. Some of this type of jewelry was actually worn as an armlet, rather than being worn on the wrist.
