“Adorned with Memory: Jewelry from the Basha Family Collection of American Indian Art” at Heard Museum

HEARD MUSEUM hosts “Adorned with Memory: Jewelry from the Basha Family Collection of American Indian Art,” through March 8, 2026. Eddie Basha Jr. and his family have deep roots in Arizona, starting from the small grocer his father founded in Chandler. This Lebanese-American family traded with the Pima, establishing personal friendships with many Native American artists, through whom this collection was made, piece by piece. Shown: Silver bracelet by Carl and Irene Clark (Diné) of silver, turquoise, lapis lazuli, coral, shell, jet; micro mosaic inlay, c.1990. Gift of the Basha Family Collection; Silver cuff by Duane Maktima. Gift of the Basha Family Collection.
