"Fashioning Architecture: What the Runway Borrows from Architecture" at the Palm Springs Art Museum

PALM SPRINGS ART MUSEUM hosts “Fashioning Architecture: What the Runway Borrows from Architecture” through August 9, 2026, at its Architecture and Design Center, Edwards Harris Pavilion location. The exhibit explores the connections between architecture, design, and fashion during a focal moment in the fashion world: the fashion show. Through videos, photos, and the voices of the people involved in the fashion world, it explores the interests of fashion houses and their designers for architecture as a powerful accessory in mounting a fashion show—this unique moment, which lasts for less than half an hour, but which sets the stage for the appreciation and understanding of a collection. Also showing through March 30, 2026 is “Reflections of Glamour: Bob Mackie” at the main museum location. The exhibit celebrates Bob Mackie for his lifetime contributions to the art of costume and design in a special presentation offering an intimate look at one of the most influential designers in American entertainment.
