Seth Michael Carlson
CONTEMPORARY PRECIOUS
Collegeville, PA
A fascination with the natural world and its denizens forms the core of Seth Carlson’s work, where precious metals and gemstones are carefully crafted into miniature delights. Giraffes, pronghorn antelopes, honeybees, and those who are slightly more provocative, like centipedes, are wrought from various colors of gold. A delicate emerald becomes the eye of a hummingbird. Although of a younger generation, Carlson has honed his technique, and imbues his jewelry with little details that make all the difference. He also is a dedicated volunteer for his community and for other causes, seeing giving back to the world as a principle worth standing by.
